Hiking Margarita Island has many small mountains offering great hiking opportunities. You will need a special permission or to join an organized tour, if you want to hike in the National Park El Copey. Another alternative is to drive up the mountain behind the Asunción, until you reach the “La Sierra” parking place. From there, you can walk, on a paved road, until the top of the mountain, where you will eventually enjoy the view to the sea from both sides of the road.
Tennis Several hotels on the island offer facilities for tennis on nightly illuminated courts (charged with fees).
Golf Hotel Hesperia Margarita is the only golf hotel on the island, as well as owner of the island's only functioning golf court. The golf court is not only restricted to the hotel guests, as external golf players can pay access to the court.
