INFORMATION ISLA DE MARGARITA
The Climate

On this wonderful Venezuelan island the sun shines all year round. The temperature fluctuates between 28 and 34°C all over the island, with the exception of the El Copey Mountain where the climate is a little cooler. The sunshine is strong at the beaches and gives you the opportunity to get a nice gradual tan. The shadow of the palm trees combined with the fresh breeze coming from the sea; ensure perfect climatic conditions at the beach. The wind on the island is fresh and sometimes causes big waves and undercurrent in the waters of the Eastern Beaches. Fortunately, Margarita is situated outside the Caribbean hurricane belt.
When you move around outside, we recommend you to wear light, thin clothes as you can get very hot when you walk around—especially in Porlamar. Also, make sure to protect yourself with sunscreen. Isla Margarita does not have any rainy season, but during the rainy season on the mainland it normally rains a little extra in Margarita. Due to the mountains in the middle of the island it predominantly rains at night.
